My name is Joanne McMahon, and since 1995, I have worked with over a thousand families to prepare their children for school. As a former Kindergarten teacher, I left the classroom to focus on empowering families and caregivers with the skills they need to support their children's success. Known for my straightforward, fun, and practical teaching style, I provide parents and caregivers with the tools to help their children make a smooth transition into school life.

My daughter C throughly enjoyed her Busy Bees class! She was engaged and excited trhough the whole session. As a parent I found it very insightful and it gave me lots of ideas of ways I can incorporate literacy, numeracy, gross and fine motor skills into the activities we do at home (all things I was truly wasn't even thinking about.) Following the session she ended up doing some of the activities from class for almost an hour afterward!

Busy Bee's has been a fun and educational program for our son. He looks forward to Mrs. McMahon's class every week. Throughout the week we try to incorporate what we have learned into our everyday tasks.It is interesting where our son will find his own places to bring out what he is learning. As this program is helping children develop, it is helping us as parents to know if we are on track with where their skills/development should be. If you have a little one, it is definitely worth 30 minutes a week to help set your child up for success for when grade school starts. Mrs. McMahon is a highly skilled, fun, interactive teacher that cares about your child as an individual and how they are progressing.

We've had the pleasure of doing Busy Bees with Joanne several times and always learn something new. She has an incredible gift for engaging with the kids and making every activity fun and meaningful. What really sets her apart is how she also takes the time to explain to parents what each activity is building in terms of skills, so you walk away not only with a happy child but an understanding of their growth. We love Busy Bees! We would be totally interested in attending another session. M looks forward to it every week and I love the information you always give for Moms explaining why you are teaching what you are. The games and tricks! You do a really great job.
